Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
TimeMend uses the essential login cookie and browser local storage for preferences. Visit statistics are optional: when disabled in the site's settings, no statistics are collected, and analytics scripts do not load before you allow them. Statistics are not used for advertising.
Necessary Google sign-in cookie: ks_google_state is set only when you start Google sign-up, sign-in, linking or verification. It binds the Google callback to the browser that started the action to prevent substituted login requests. This HttpOnly cookie expires within 10 minutes and is cleared when the flow ends; it is not used for advertising or statistics.
Cookies and local storage we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ks_session | Essential cookie | Keeps you logged in. Marked HttpOnly, so page scripts can't read it. | 30 days if you choose to stay logged in; otherwise until you close the browser |
| ks-locale-choice | Local storage | Remembers a language you picked yourself | Until you clear your browser data |
| ks-locale-hint | Local storage | Remembers that you dismissed the language suggestion | Until you clear your browser data |
| ks_analytics_consent_v1 | Local storage | Remembers your allow/reject choice, analytics configuration identifier and expiry, not your account | Up to 180 days (about 6 months) |
| GA4 / Baidu Analytics | Optional analytics cookies | Visit statistics only when enabled and allowed | Provider configuration and policies |
The essential cookie is strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for (logging in), so it does not require prior consent.
Optional visit statistics: We do not collect visit statistics when they are disabled in the site's settings. When enabled, we use GA4 for the configured overseas target region or Baidu Analytics for mainland China. Analytics scripts load only after you allow them, and only on permitted public pages; pages whose address may contain private parameters are skipped, and a referral source is reduced to its site's domain, without its path or parameters. Visits while signed in are excluded from statistics, including on public pages.
Statistics help us understand visits, sources and page use, and are not used for advertising. The provider may receive network IP addresses and browser/device information, and use cookies. The site does not actively send accounts, email addresses, photos, filenames, task IDs, order IDs or tokens to analytics providers. Statistics therefore do not mean complete anonymity or the absence of personal information.
You can reject or withdraw consent in Statistics preferences at any time without affecting the service; withdrawal stops further collection. Browser local storage keeps only your choice, the current analytics configuration identifier and expiry, not your account, for up to 180 days (about 6 months). We ask again if the provider or analytics ID changes.
Provider data and cookie retention follow the actual configuration and the provider's policies. The site's 72-hour photo retention rule does not apply to analytics data. Statistics may be affected by consent choices, browser blocking and network conditions.
Managing cookies
You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block ks_session, you won't be able to log in. Clearing site data also clears the local storage above.
You can also withdraw consent in Statistics preferences to stop further collection by the site. Withdrawal does not automatically erase the provider's historical data or independent cookies; you can manage cookies in your browser.
Changes
We ask for your choice again if the analytics provider or ID changes. We announce significant policy changes before they take effect and request consent again where needed.
